6’8’’ former Loyola basketball player, Nick DiNardi, continues to inspire others.
After being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 11 yrs old, he thought his life was over. He never could have imagined he would not only go on to play D-1 college basketball, but would dedicate his life to helping others suffering the same painful disease.
Currently working as a research tech at UChicago Medicine Section of Gastroenterology, Nick is able to see first-hand the work going into preventing, treating, and curing GI issues like his.
Nick will attend and speak at the 58th GIRF Annual Ball on June 1 — sharing his experience at March Madness, his work with GIRF’s Associates Board, and his future research. You can read about his amazing journey in this UChicago Medicine article.
